Bye bye dark circles!! - Kiko full coverage concealer

 

Today I want to share with you my happiness: I've found my concealer for life!

I was desperate...I couldn't find the right concealer for my dark circles and I didn't want to spend a lot of money for Benefit's erase paste (saving my money for my trip in London). I was at Kiko and my friend Manu suggested me to try it because "it was the best concealer she had ever tried".

I looked at the price...7,50 for 2 ml. Not bad! Ok...deal!

Now: what shade should I choose? Let's buy the 3...it seems perfect to cover my greenish dark circles.

I go home, I try it and the result is: AMAZING!

My dark circles were notably reduced, the imperfections gone. 

I prefer applying it with my fingers to modulate it better and the packaging (mirror included) allows me because it's very handy. Moreover it stays fixed for hours and my oily skin accepts it willingly.

Oggi voglio condividere con voi la mia felicità: ho trovato il correttore della mia vita!

Ero disperata perchè non riuscivo a trovare il correttore giusto per le mie occhiaie e non volevo spendere una fortuna per l'erase paste di benefit (risparmiando così i soldi per il mio viaggio a Londra). Ero da Kiko e la mia amica Manu mi suggerì di provarlo perchè era "il miglior correttore che avesse mai provato". Guardo il prezzo 7,50 per 2 ml...ok si può fare!

Che tonalità dovrei prendere?La 3 sembra perfetta per le mie occhiaie verdognole, ok compriamola!

Vado a casa, lo provo e il risultato è: FANTASTICO! Le mie occhiaie erano visibilmente ridotte e le impefezioni andate!

Preferisco applicarlo con le dita per modularlo bene visto che il packaging me lo consente essendo molto maneggevole (e con specchio incluso). Inoltre resta immobile per ore e la mia pelle mista lo accetta di buon grado.

The bragain is behind the corner - Auchan olio alle mandorle dolci

I was going shopping at Auchan looking at the skin care corner and I saw this at the price of 1,42 euros FOR 100 ml. I immediately thought: how much crap is here? I turned the bottle to check the INCI and i read: PRUNUS AMIGDALUS DULCIS OIL.

What?!?!?!

Yes this is the one and only ingredient! Not convinced at all yet I tried to use it to rescue my hand damaged by dishwashing with cold water and winter and they recovered after a few days. I also gave it to a friend who used to have chapped hands every winter and two weeks later she thanked me! I used it after wax and that was the moment I convinced myself completely: the wax took off after the massage!

If you see it on the stand BUY IT!

Ero a fare shopping da Auchan guardando l'angolo della skin care e vidi questo olio al prezzo di 1,42 per 100 ml. Pensai immediatamente: chissà quante schifezze ci saranno lì dentro! E invece girando la bottiglia per guarda l'inci ho letto: PRUNUS AMIGDALUS DULCIS OIL.

Cosa?!?!?!!

Sisi avete capito bene: è l'unico ingrediente di questo olio! Non convinta sono tornata a casa e l'ho utilizzato per cercare si salvare quello che era rimasto delle mie mani danneggiate con il passaggio acqau calda/fredda del lavaggio piatti e danneggiate anche dal freddo invernale...si sono risanate dopo pochi giorni! L'ho anche fatto provare ad un'amica che ogni inverno ha le mani rovinate dal freddo e dopo due settimane mi ha ringraziata! Ma il momento in cui mi sono convinta del tutto è stato dopo la ceretta: dopo un massaggio tuta la fastidiosissima cera era sparita!

Challenge of the week - Yes to carrots vs I Provenzali

5,7 ml - 2,70 euro circa

I Provenzali Stick Labbra al Karitè: ha una consistenza più "dura" rispetto agli altri balsami per labbra ma nonostante ciò fa il suo lavoro pur essendo poco burroso. Dopo una sola notte ho riscontrato una notevole differenza e le mie labbra sono costantemente screpolate! Inci perfettamente verde a parte la cera microcristallina. Fino ad un annetto fa esisteva il problema del doppio inci, con il BHA scritto sullo stick ma non sulla confezione (l'inci reale però era proprio quello sulla confezione) ma adesso è tutto risolto. Tutto ciò però è successo nel lontano 2010 quindi non abbiate paura!

Il problema fondamentale di questo stick è l'odore: tipico del burro di karitè...o lo odi o lo ami!

Punto a suo vantaggio è la reperibilità: la grande distribuzione ne è piena e il prezzo è accettabilissimo anche perchè vi dura dei mesi :D

VOTO FINALE: 8/10  (incoraggiamo gli inci verdi :D )

Yes to Carrots lip butter: la consistenza è tipica dei normali stick labbra però questo non è indice del fatto che sia sicuramente efficace. Inci verdissimo e organico al 95%. Ho acquistato quello agli agrumi (tappo giallo) e personalmente non ho riscontrato proprio grandi miglioramenti dopo averlo usato per lo stesso numero di giorni in cui avevo testato lo stick dei provenzali precedentemente, però altre persone che lo hanno utilizzato ci si sono trovate benissimo, forse saranno le mie labbra che hanno delle esigenze particolari...boh! Ha però due punti a suo vantaggio: la profumazione e la varietà di fragranze (citrus, mint, berry, tomato, melon). Punto a suo svantaggio: reperibile solo da sephora (oppure ovviamente online). Il prezzo è nella media, accettabilissimo anche qui e potete trovarlo da sephora con l'offerta 3x2.

VOTO FINALE: 7,5/10  (incoraggiamo gli inci verdi anche qui :D )

Must-have make up items in your purse

Going out without a purse is like forgetting the underwear for a woman (ok ok, I know there are some women who forget the underwear on purpose but this is not the case!).

The purse is like as extension of our arm, we put (and we are able to put) everything into it. 

Here there is a short list of what you cannot miss in your purse to look fresh and pretty everywhere and everytime:

- compact pressed powder (better if with mirror included): it absorbs the excess of sebum and gives you a refreshed look, softening the greyness of the city;

- mascara: even without an eyeshadow it makes your eyes looking more awake;

- perfume: in this case samples are perfect!

- lipstick: a multi-purpose item! Apart from its normal use, it can be used also as a blush taking some product with your finger (carefully sanitized before with a wipe or an antibacterical gel) and tapping the product on you cheeks;

- eye pencil: a beautiful make up can be created also without eyeshadows :D

Andare in giro senza una borsa per noi donne è come non avere un pezzo di biancheria (ok ok, lo so che ci sono persone che a volte dimenticano la biancheria di prorposito, ma non è questo il caso!).

La borsa è come un'estensione del nostro braccio, ci mettiamo (e riusciamo a metterci) tutto dentro!

Qui c'è una piccola lista di quello che non potete dimenticare di mettere nella vostra borsa per sembrare carine e a posto dovunque e in qualunque momento:

- cipria compatta in polvere (meglio se con lo specchio incluso): assorbe l'eccesso di sebo e vi dona un look fresco che attenua il grigiore della città;

- mascara: anche senza un ombretto fa sembrare i vostri occhi più svegli;

- profumo: in questo caso i campioncini sono la migliore soluzione!

- rossetto: è un prodotto multi-funzione! A parte il suo normale uso potrete usarlo anche come blush, predendo un po' di prodotto con il dito (opportunamente disinfettato con una salvietta o con un gel antibatterico) e picchiettando il prodotto sulle vostre guance;

- matita per occhi: perchè un bel make up può essere creato anche senza ombretti!

Essence - Because bases matter

Recently I've tried these 2 essence nail care products, but I've noticed the fisrt is not on the website anymore.

The second combined with the top coat of the same line gives you very good results!Your nail polish will stay perfectly up to 4 days!

The xxl instead, although is not proper a base doesn't do event its job. After 2 weeks my nails weren't stronger and they broke just like before. Moreover it came off from the nail after 1 day and took off also every nail polish I put over it    =(

Recentemente ho provato questi due prodotti di essence per la cura delle unghie, ma ho notato che il primo non è più presente sul sito della essence.
Il secondo combinato con il top coat della stessa linea vi darà dei risultati davvero buoni!Il vostro smalto resterà perfetto fino a 4 giorni!
Invece quello della linea xxl, sebbene non sia proprio una base, non fa nemmeno il suo lavoro. Dopo 2 settimane le mie unghie non erano più forti...si spezzavano esattamente come prima. Inoltre si sollevava dall'unghia dopo 1 giorno e portava via con sè ogni smalto ci mettevo su   =(

Go and primer

The eye primer is one of the best ideas oh the make up world. When I was a little girl who played with mum's eyeshadows and lipsticks after less than an hour I always had a huge stain on my eyes without shape in terrible colors and cominations!

These are three primers I've tried...they are different in packaging, texture and standing but the value for money for each of them is very good and they have nothing less than the expensive ones!

La base per ombretto è una delle idee migliori che siano mai state inventate nel mondo del make up. Quando ero una bambina che giovava con i trucchi della mamma avevo puntualmente dopo meno di un'ora delle chiazze sugli occhi di forme non ben definite e colori assurdi!

Questi sono i tre primes che ho avuto modo di provare...sono diversi sia per packaging, che per texutre che per rapporto qualità prezzo ma nel complesso per me sono davvero buoni tutti quanti e credo non abbiano nulla in meno di quelli più costosi.

The first is elf's: price 1,70 euros from Italian website - 5 ml

It does its job and it's a good choice for who's a novice. It's probably the chapest primer existant but don't think you will be able to spend all day/night long out and have you make up as perfect as you made it before going out.

Il primo è quello della elf: 1,70 euro dal sito Italiano - 5 ml

Fa il suo lavoro ed è una buona scelto per chi si sta approcciando adesso al make up. Probabilmente è il più economico primer in circolazione ma non pensate di poter passare tutto il giorno/notte fuori casa e avere al vostro ritorno un make up completamente intatto e perfetto come quando siete uscite di casa!

The second is zoeva's: price 3,80 euros - 5 gr

Better than elf but to have the best application not wasting product you will need a brush, unless you have small fingers and nails :D

I put this and went to the disco...at the end of the night the result was more than acceptable   =)

Il secondo è quello di zoeva: prezzo 3,80 euro - 5 gr

Migliore del primer della elf ma per avere la migliore applicazione possibile avete bisogno di un pennello, a meno che non abbiate dita minuscole e unghie altrettanto minuscole.

L'ho messo prima di andare in discoteca e al ritorno a casa il risultato era più che accettabile!

The last but not the least is kiko's: 6,90 euros - 10 ml - not available on the website yet

I love the packaging beacuse you don't need brushes and you can use the product to the last drop. Considering that it is 10 ml is costs less than 2 zoeva's primers! Compared with the other two it is the best to me and be sure one of this will last up to 4 months :D

L'ultimo ma non per importanza è quello di kiko: 6,90 euro - 10 ml - non ancora disponibile sul sito

Adoro il tubetto perchè non avete bisogno di pennelli e potete spremerlo fino all'ultima goccia! considerando che è 10 ml costa meno di 2 primer di zoeva e comparato con gli altri due è il migliore...potete stare sicure che vi durerà fino a 4 mesi!

I piccoli buchi che vedete nel Miracle Touch sono dovuti al fatto che lo applico con lo stipple bruch di elf!

Sometimes finding the perfect foundation four our skin seems a never-ending adventure...we wander around the stands with 20 different shades swatched on the arm, hoping to stop as soon as possible the exhausting foundation-competition!
If you feel included in this category of people who are still searching I hope this comparison will help you to same some money...who's gonna be the winner?

Miracle touch: medium-high coverage, no smell, very easy to blend and with a good base or fixer it stands perfectly up to 7 hours. It gives you a very flawless skin without making you have a cream cake on the face!
Ideal for oily skin (like mine). The price goes from 10 to 13 euros for 11,5 gr. Available at most perfumeries.

Sephora perfecting cover foundation: medium-high coverage, a light smell like plastic, easy to blend but I do not recommend it for oily skins...after 2 hours I had a terrible shining glaze on my forehead. This effect could be reduced only tapping your face with a sponge to absorb the excess after the application. The good thing is the number of shades for every skin color from the lightest to the darkest. If you have enlarged pores stay away from it...after the application you will be able to count every single pore! Available only at Sephoras. Price: 16,90 euros for 35 ml.

A volte trovare il fondotinta perfetto per la nostra pelle sembra un'avventura senza fine. Ci aggiriamo per i vari stand con 20 tonalità diverse di fondotinta sulle nostre braccia sperando di terminare questa battaglia per il fondotinta il prima possibile!

Se fate parte di questa categoria di persone che sono ancora in cerca spero che questo confronto vi aiuti...chi vincerà?

Miracle Touch: coprenza medio-alta, nessun profumo, molto facile da sfumare e con una buona base o un fissatore resta perfetto fino a 7-8 ore. Dona una pelle levigata senza far sembra che abbiate una torta di crema sulla faccia! Ideale per pelli miste-grasse come la mia. Reperibile nella maggior parte delle profumerie ad un prezzo che va dai 10 ai 13 euro per 11,5 gr.

Sephora perfecting cover foundation: coprenza medio-alta, un leggero odore simile alla plastica. facile da stendere ma non lo raccomando per le pelli miste-grasse...dopo 2 ore avevo una terribile patina lucida sulla fronte! Questo effetto potrebbe essere ridotto picchiettando con una spugnetta dopo l'applicazione per assorbire l'eccesso. L'unica cosa buona è la varietà di tonalità che avete a disposizione...ce ne sono davvero tante dalle più chiare alle più scure. Se avete pori dilatati state lontane da questo fondotinta...dopo averlo steso sareste capaci di contare i vostri pori uno per uno! Reperibile solo da Sephora al prezzo di 16,90 euro per 35 ml.

I AM made in Italy

I was looking for some nail polishes completely made in Italy. I already have Kiko's ones (3,90 euros) but the store is far from my city and I wondered if there was something similar in terms of quality and value for money, easier to find and less expensive than Pupa (6-7 euros for a single nail polish are a little excessive to me) :\  I know that other nail polishes for example made in Germany (as essence does) or in UK (as elf does) are good too, but my nationalistic spirit has prevailed  xD
Anyway I've found the answer: La Jolie!
I'm very lazy about my nails and I need something durable because I'm often busy. They are a very good compromise between quality and price: they dry quite immediately and for some of them (the lightest ones) you don't need a second coat...they last for three days and more!
Unfortunately I haven't seen them in many traditional perfumeries of large retailers...you could find them especially in small shops and at suppliers' for make up artists and hairdressers!  
The price is very good: from 1,30 to 2 euros (personally I bought them for 1,50). :D



Ero alla ricerca di qualche smalto completamente made in Italy. Ho già degli smalti di Kiko (acquistabili al 3,90) ma il problema è che il negozio è molto lontano dalla mia città e per questo mi chiedevo se ci fosse qualcosa di simile in termini di rapporto qualità-prezzo, reperibili più facilmente e più economici di quelli di Pupa (onestamente per me 6-7 euro per uno smalto mi sembrano un pò troppi).
So che ci sono altri marchi comunque molto buoni (come la essence in Germania o la elf in Inghilterra) però il mio spirito nazionalistico ha preso il sopravvento! :D

Credo proprio di aver trovato la risposta: La Jolie!

Sono estremamente pigra riguardo alle mie unghie perchè sono spesso indaffarata, per cui cerco qualcosa che duri e credo che questi smalti siano davvero un buon compromesso tra qualità e prezzo: asciugano rapidamente e per alucni di loro (i più chiari) non c'è bisogno di una seconda passata....e durano tre giorni o più!
Purtroppo non li ho trovati nelle profumerie della grande distibuzione ma solo in quelle più piccole, e dai fornitori per estetiste e parrucchieri.

Il prezzo è ottimo: da 1,30 a 2 euro (personalmente li ho pagati 1,50).  :D

Feeling pretty is a sacred right for everyone. There is who feels beautiful with her/his favourite denim, or with hair combed in a certain way...and there is who feels good with a bit (or a lot!) of make up.  

It's not fair that only who has a fortune to spend can feel like that. 

This blog has nothing pretentious, it's just a way to share ideas, news and opinions related to make up with everybody who wants to find some new products or simply wants to prevent a waste of money for things that don't deserve our hard-earned cash!
