Here I am…me and my belly full of spaghetti with vongole, “struffoli”,
swordfish, shrimps , panettone and torrone.
As usual gifts given and received under a Christmas tree,
and this post is going to deal with one of the gifts I am pretty sure somebody
of you has received/ given to a friend:
URBAN DECAY NAKED BASICS.
Well…I am not the first and surely not the last who is
posting about this topic (I have seen girls and unlucky boys in queue at
Sephora’s in various parts of the world to get it…are you insane?!?) :D
Why am I not so pleased with this palette? Because it’s as
small as a pack of tissues! No eyeliner in it, no brush…it seems like you
should be thankful just for having the palette!
Anyway this was a gift I made to my sister-in-law because
she wanted it so badly, and I didn’t want to be the one saying: “it’s
overrated, go and get a sleek palette instead!”. So my opinion is clear…very
good colours, the combination than can suit the people all over the world,
sufficient pigmentation but nothing to be excited for.
Do not misunderstand me: this palette is ideal for anyone
who wants to carry a simple palette in her purse but is something you have to “integrate”
with a brush and an eyeliner. I expected something complete…something that does
not make you bring other 10 things with you to complete your make up whether
you are in the middle of nowhere or not. UD has always been a benchmark with
other top quality brands in terms of quality and innovations…but this turn I
think that the same colours and the same quality can be found in other palettes
and brands at a much lower price.
This will certainly be a disruptive opinion but let me know

Eccoci qua…ci
siamo io e la mia pancia piena di spaghetti con le vongole, struffoli, pesce
spada, gamberi, panettone e torrone.
Come ogni anno
regali sotto l’albero di Natale sono stati fatti e ricevuti e questo post vi
parlerà di una cosa che alcune di voi sicuramente avranno regalato o ricevuto:
la palette URBAN DECAY NAKED BASICS.
E quindi eccomi
qui…sicuramente non sarò né la prima né l’ultima a scrivere su questo argomento
(Ho visto anche code chilometriche da Sephora il alcune parti del mondo per
prendere questa palette…ma siamo matti?!?!) :D
Perché non sono
così esaltata al pensiero di questa palette? Perché è grande come un pacchetto
di fazzoletti. Nessuna matita o pennello inclusi e sembra che tu debba anche
ringraziare di avere sta palette per 25 euro!
Comunque…ho
regalato questa palette a mia cognata perché la voleva tanto provare e non me
la sentivo di fare l’acida e dire “ma prenditi una sleek invece della naked che
è meglio”. Alla fine penso che la combinazione di colori sia buona…”Basic”
appunto e che si tratta di colori che starebbero bene a chiunque, buona qualità
ma nulla di esagerato.
Non mi
fraintendete: questa palette è l’ideale per chi vuole avere dei colori base da
portare in borsetta, ma il problema è che questa palette da sola non basta perché
avete sempre bisogno di una matita o di un pennello da portare sempre con voi
se volete truccarvi nel bel mezzo del nulla. UD è sempre stata un metro di
paragone con le altre marche, ma secondo me sto giro hanno un po’ sbagliato i
calcoli perché non c’è qualcosa che mi fa esclamare “devo averla perché è
diversa da tutte le altre”.
So che questa
sarà un’opinione un po’ fuori dal coro ma mi piacerebbe sapere cosa ne pensate
qui sotto nei commenti :D
